Presentiments 2 (after 44 years)2021

Nearly 50 years after making my first photochemical film and 44 years after making my first video work called Presentiments, I decided to go back to the footage that Vida gathered for this first work which begins this whole collection of my work. I realised I had to radically change this to both represent the time we exist within with its ability to digital manipulate pretty much anything - but somehow commemorate and reflect the nature of the media available in the early days of independent film and then independent video in the 1970’s. So I’ve worked with this footage to evoke the sense of early film experimentation and the sense of early and late video experimentation.
