Biography
Angela Christlieb, born in 1965, is a German filmmaker. In 1997, she moved to New York and began working as an independent filmmaker, producing several shorts, followed by freelance work as theater manager and research assistant for Anthology Film Archives and Filmmakers Coop New York. In 1999 she received a DAAD Grant to study film production at the New School to write and produce her first feature documentary CINEMANIA. In 2001 she moved back to Berlin and began working as writer and freelance editor for several artists and filmmakers, including: Monika Treut, Heinz Emigholz, Andrew Horn. Her film WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GELITIN premiered in 2016, and her new documentary UNDER THE UNDERGROUND premiered in 2019.
