We walk the EARTH until we don't. The COVID-pandemic brought contemplation of life and death to the fore. Titled after JANUS, the Roman god of doorways and transitions, this film asks, "What is coupled to the physical— a something that departs?" A possible answer: “something akin to light.” Light prisms into 8 colors.

Here, vacation snapshots couple to colors, mostly red and green, the only complementary colors of equal wavelength. Imagery from Cuma, Herculaneum, and American deserts journey through passageways until liminal space is reached. At the film’s end red, green and white colors belong to a new figure and its environment.
