About
Moments of pause and forward/upward motion document a hike to the peak of Tianmu Mountain, an internationally-recognized nature reserve. Tianmushan is home to massive Japanese cedars and some of the world's only wild Ginkgo biloba trees, as well as small temples, hermitages, memorials, and an aging weather station that mark a long history of human habitation. At the base of the mountain, a dam holds back the water of small streams springing from the surrounding topography. Shot in Lin'an County, China in 2009.
