Gantry (Circumambulation)2007

Mapping the circumference of the central gantry of the former Sydney Superdome to the duration of one Super 8 film, I match a walking pace to the length of the film running through the camera. Arriving at the point of origin as the film is exhausted, one continuous take methodically and meditatively completes one loop. The film was conceived and shot during the Artists at the Armory residency, Sydney Olympic Park, Australia in 2007.
