A camera-roll film shot in August 2025 that explores the capacity for abstraction residing in the mechanism of the camera. Made by hand-cranking my Bolex for several hours while sitting in my office and looking out the window. Thinking about projection and reflection, attention and distraction, seeking and receiving. Reminding myself to focus, unfocus. Trying to keep things centered, uncentered. Turning the crank slowly, waiting for the spring to let loose and my neck to seize up.
