Biography
Robert Edgar is Director, Redwood City Digital Production Studio at Stanford University. He’s been working in the overlapping fields of cinema, computing and audio composition since the early 1970s. From 1972-1976 he was part of the Synapse Video Coop, teaching video aesthetics classes at Syracuse University. His works include Intersticies (1973), Implicit X Explicit (1976), Memory Theatre One (1985), Living Cinema (1987), Sand, or How Computers Dream of Truth in Cinema (1994), The Duchamp Examinations (2006), Memory Theatre Two (2007), Complementary Opposites: Makrocosma Bali (2011), The Simultaneous Opposites Engine #1-89 (2008 – Present), Apperception (2024), and STOP LIGHT MOON (2025).
