Biography

Saidin Salkic, also known as Mido has been called “Natural treasure in Australia’s Avant-Garde film industry”, “ One of the most singular and uncompromising filmmakers currently working in Australia”, “Master of mood” and “Australia’s greatest artist”. All this by the age of 41. He was born in Srebrenica, Bosnia in 1981 and survived the genocide there as a 12 year old. Many members of his family did not. He witnessed the execution of his father and inspired by his experiences, he has become one of the most prolific filmmakers and artists in the world today.
