Souto

Pedro Souto (1991) is a filmmaker from A Coruña (Spain) with studies in Audiovisual Communication and Journalism. Working across fiction and documentary, his practice combines formal exploration with unconventional production models.

He was a founding member of Donato (2014–2018), a collective through which he published fanzines, albums and music videos, while also organising concerts and festivals.

In 2021, he directed Clarisa, an experimental short film screened at the BCT Festival in Benevento (Italy) and the Corto Ciudad Real Festival. His first feature-length documentary, We love you, was completed in 2025, premiered at the Riga Pasaules Film Festival and selected for the VdR-Film Market at Visions du Réel.

His work has also been screened at venues such as the Filmoteca de Galicia (A Coruña), CCPF (Ourense) and El Local (Madrid).
