Biography

Emma McCagg is a New York based painter and recently a filmmaker. First film, feature documentary "There's Something About John", garnered 2018 artist fellowship from New York State Council of the Arts (NYSCA), four grants from the JM Kaplan Fund, one from City Artists Corps, and private donations. Among other festival awards TSAJ won Best Feature Documentary at the Big Apple Film Festival in 2020 and Audience Choice in the Amsterdam Lift Off Film Festival 2021. Short films have been shown at the 3rd Ward in Brooklyn and the White Box, Manhattan, and the Salazar Gallery, San Diego, CA.
