Biography
Allen Killian-Moore is a Neurodivergent moving image artist, writer, curator, and performer. For shooting his moving image work, he utilizes a wide variety of film and video mediums. He then draws from his ongoing compendium of original footage to craft moving image assemblage works which embrace an archival-esque aesthetic. The resulting collision of images, grains, pixels, and shades embodies a sense of materiality in his work, while the images become associationally expressive, transcending their solitary forms. Allen was an Artist in Residence at the North Dakota Museum of Art, and his work has been exhibited at FIB Gallery in Chicago, Duluth Art Institute, Chautauqua Art Lab in St. Louis, Joseph Nease Gallery, Hennepin Theater Trust's Made Here Exhibition, and on the Current TV Network. Allen also curates Saltless Sea Cinema, screening avant-garde moving image work in a rotating variety of venues.
