"The fact that Field was photographed by rapidly swinging a camera diagonally back and forth in an open field is virtually impossible to gather from viewing the film, which is a hypnotic blur of black and white streaks. At times, it looks like the screen, not the camera is moving. And at times it is not clear in which direction the streaks are moving.
