My film tells contemplative stories focusing on our individual intimate moments as we twirl our hair engaging in deep thought, introspection and wondering. It explores the theme of preparing confidence and self-esteem, reflecting the influence of culture on how we present ourselves to the world. The use of bird sounds recorded in New York City, inserted as a refrain or chorus throughout my film, adds a unique and organic element to my storytelling. These bird sounds provide a natural soundtrack that punctuates the photography and film stories, creating juxtaposition between the human experience and the untamed beauty of nature.
