About
Seven Films on one reel in the following order:
1.God Is Dog Spelled Backward
"...or 3,000 years of art in 3 1/2 minutes."
2.9 O'Clock News:
Voice, Garry Margolis. "This film was started two weeks after the assassination of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as a reaction to the false grief which engulfed the nation. From the conception of the idea to its first public showing at the Cinema Theatre's Movies 'Round Midnight in Los Angeles, was exactly ten days."
3.Red/Green
"A minimal experimental film. A moving painting that demonstrates the principles of fugitive sensations. Not for everyone"
4.Evil Is Live Spelled Backwards
"How much information can be visually communicated? I split the screen giviong the viewer a structure of a fisheye lens on one side and a vertical screen on the other. The information in these screens is conceptionally opposed. One has a time lapse of a day on the beach in Venice (CA) and on the other is 2,800 years of history. It is too much information."
5.1st WIll and Testament
"An expriment in poetry film. Created under the camera by drawing directly on paper. Experimenting in structuring new ways of writing poetry in time."
6.Claude
7.Star Spangled Banner
"Like NINE O'CLOCK NEWS, an attempt to use filim editorially and like NINE O'CLOCK NEWS made and shown within 10 days. Film entered in Chicago Film Festival Special Competition 'Our National Antehm–A Contemporary Visualization.' Judges including City Fathers of Chicago and William Buckley. Did not win. Only acknowledgement were words grease-pencilled on returned film can: 'Anti-Cop.'"
