... shot at the "Love-In" held in Elysian Park in Los Angeles on Easter Sunday 1967. The film is imaginately edited so as to heighten the meaning of the poem that accompanies it. This poem was especially written for the film, and in lyric terms it illuminates the philosophy of the hippie movement. THe constant interplay between picture and soundtrack gives a counterpoint effect rarely seen in films of this type. The producers, Bob Mulqueen and John Simons, call themselves Cultural Expansion as they are interested in making films that communicate ideas. They are active on the West Coast in making teaching films and industrials as well as films for general audiences. (From Bob Mulqueen, c. 1967)
