Non Films Presents Lawrence Jordan: A Mini-Retrospective
On Saturday, August 1st, at 7pm, Non Films presents a fascinating mini-retrospective of the films of Lawrence Jordan, consisting of 16mm prints culled entirely from the Coop's archive!
Attention all animation connoisseurs! Non Films is ecstatic to present a very special DarkRoom Screening: a mini-retrospective of the works of Lawrence Jordan! We will be screening 16mm prints of his animated collage films from 1969-79 and beyond, including his magnum opus: an adaptation of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's The Rime of the Ancient Mariner (narrated by Orson Welles, with illustrations by Gustave Doré and dedicated to the late Wallace Berman). This unique program will explore the catalog of Mr. Jordan's iconic filmography, with a special handmade zine to accompany the event.
