"this film deals with the South Street Seaport Museum located at South and Fulton Streets in downtown New York. The South Street Seaport Museum is unique in that it has the largest tonnage of varied ships afloat at any maritime museum in AMerica. All types of vessels of varied size and type of service are exhibited.
The museum tries in part to capture a vanished era. The era of the sailing vessel which was so important a means of transportation for America during the nineteenth century. Linking the east and west coast off the continent before the advent of the locomotives." H.C.S.
